What Search and Discovery Is
- View and search emails filed to your projects
- Maintain a complete and trustworthy record of project communications
- Capture sender, recipients, and attachments for full audit trail
- Use powerful search to quickly locate emails and attachments
- Download or forward emails directly from the interface
- Centralised, organised, and intuitive interface for full visibility
Access Search and Discovery
- In CMap Consulting Edition, access via the Mail tab on the project
- Requires Project Mail permission in your CMap Security Group
- Alternatively, go to discovery.cmapmail.com
- Use the Go to CMap Mail button in the Outlook interface
Search for Filed Emails
- On the interface, select projects to search or leave blank to search all
- Enter search criteria in the Search Emails field
- Toggle view to organise email information into columns
- Use filters to refine results by tag or timeframe
- Select the funnel icon with the X to remove filters
- Stack filters for advanced searches (e.g. contact name + subject term)
- Select Download to save email as .eml file (includes thread)
- Download or preview attachments
- Select Forward to create a draft in Outlook
Search Within CMap
- Use the Mail tab on the project menu
- Emails filed to the project appear automatically
- Use discovery tools to locate emails without switching platforms
View Confidential Emails
- Requires confidential permissions assigned per project
- Select the appropriate project from the dropdown
- Select Show Confidential Emails to access them
- Use discovery tools to refine results
- Select Show Regular Emails to return to standard view
