Introduction
This guide provides a quick overview of the tabs available on the CMap Mail Plugin interface.
What are the tabs on CMap Mail?
There are four tabs available to use on the CMap Mail Plugin. These are:
- Favourites tab
- All Projects tab
- Info tab
- Settings tab
Favourites tab
The Favourites tab (indicated by the star icon) is where you can see the projects you have favourited. Marking a project as a favourite can help greatly reduce the time taken to find and select a project when filing an email.
The Favourites tab is the first area to be displayed when opening CMap Mail in Outlook, so you can file an email with a few clicks, rather than needing to navigate to the All Projects tab.
You can mark a project as a favourite by following these steps:
- Open CMap Mail.
- Go to the All Projects tab.
- Search for the project you want to favourite.
- Click on the star icon on the right of the project name and code.
- Favourited projects will show a yellow star icon.
All Projects tab
The All Projects tab (indicated by the 3 lines) shows all the projects that have been set up with CMap Mail. All CMap Mail projects will be displayed in this tab, however, you may not have access to file into all of them. If you do not have permission an error will appear saying 'You don't have permission to file into this project'.
If you need to file into a project but don't have permission, contact your CMap Mail Admins.
If your organisation is using multiple Hubsites, you can use the dropdown box to select which Hubsite you want to view.
You can search through the All Projects tab by using the scroll bar or by using the Search Projects field. In this field, you can search by project code or by project name.
Info tab
The Info tab (indicated by the 'i' icon) is where you can view details about emails that have been filed with CMap Mail.
Once an email has been filed, you can use this tab to check:
- Which project it was filed to
- Who filed the email
- When the email was filed (date and time)
- What tag was used when filing the email
If you encounter an email that has the 'Filed by Others' tag, you can use this tab to see the above information, allowing you to easily locate the email in CMap Mail Search & Discovery, or file it to another project if required.
Settings tab
The Settings tab (indicated by the cog icon) is where you can enable the auto-filing automation, which is key to the File on Send and Future Filing features.
To switch this on, click on the 'Enable Automation' button and follow the set up steps.
You can also report issues via the 'Report Issue' button.
To report an issue, click on the button and fill out the form in as much detail as possible. Once you submitted the report, please make sure to contact the Mail support team to let them know you have sent a report for review.
