Move Timesheet Entries

The Move Timesheet Entries tool allows timesheet entries to be moved and reassigned to a different Project, Stage, Task, or Internal Code. This is a handy tool to use if a User has booked time to the wrong Stage on a Project or even to the wrong Project altogether and the time needs to be moved.

In this article, you’ll learn how to:

  • Edit individual Timesheet Entries
  • Bulk move Timesheet Entries

Edit individual Timesheet Entries

1. From your Dashboard, head to the Admin area by clicking on the  icon. Under the heading TIMESHEETS & TIME OFF, click Move Timesheet Entries.

2. Click Set Filters. Set the Filters so that you can easily find the timesheet entries that you would like to move.

3. A list of Timesheet Entries will appear. To edit the individual timesheet entries, click the  icon on the right-hand side and select the correct Project or Internal Timesheet code.

4. Click Save and the Timesheet entries will move to where you have reassigned them to.

Bulk move Timesheet Entries

CMap allows you to amend multiple Timesheet Entries in a few simple steps.

1. Click into the tick box of the entries you would like to bulk move on the left-hand side.

To select all Timesheet Entries, click into the tick box at the top of the grid.

2. Go to the Actions button in the top right-hand corner. Click on Actions and select Bulk Move.

3. A pop-up box appears to search for the correct Project or Internal Code to move the timesheet entries to.

If you select a Project Code, then you have the option of which Stage or Task you would like to reassign the time to.

4. Click Move and the Timesheet entries will move to where you have reassigned them to.

Hopefully you can now edit individual Timesheet Entries or bulk move them to a different Project, Stage, Task, or Internal Code. This will allow you to move Timesheets when a User has booked time to the wrong Stage on a Project or even to the wrong Project altogether and the time needs to be moved.
