Re-open a Timesheet

The Re-open a Timesheet Tool enables you to re-open a submitted timesheet if a user has incorrectly recorded their time and a change is required. The Re-open a Timesheet Tool can also be used to set a user's timesheet week in the future. This can be helpful when a user is going on extended leave (such as maternity) and you do not require them to submit time and don't want automated timesheet reminder emails to be sent.

In this article, you’ll learn how to:

  • Re-open a Timesheet
  • Return to the Current Week Commencing Timesheet

Re-open a Timesheet

1. From your Dashboard, head to the Admin tab by selecting the  icon, which you will find in the top right-hand corner of your Dashboard when you log in to CMap.

2. On the left-hand side of your screen, you will see the USERS & SECURITY side navigation extension. Scroll down to find TIMESHEETS & TIME OFF.

3. Select Re-open a Timesheet. You need to type the user’s name into the Search Box and the Current Week Commencing date will be automatically populated.

4. Click in the Week Commencing box and select the appropriate week from the pop-out calendar window that you would like the Timesheet to re-open on.

5. Press Save Changes. The User's Timesheet will now be re-opened in their CMap instance for the week you selected in this tool.

Return to the current Week Commencing Timesheet

Once the necessary changes have been made to the User’s reopened Timesheet, you can either Save or Submit your Timesheet entry.

There are two options for how to return to the current Week Commencing Timesheet:

  • Submit all Timesheets weeks - press Submit to click through and Submit Timesheet weeks to get back to the Week Commencing Timesheet.
  • Use the Reopen Timesheet tool - an Admin User will need to use the reopen tool again to skip forward to the User’s Week Commencing Timesheet to the current week.

Hopefully, you can now reopen Timesheets to allow users to amend their own Timesheets and understand how to return to the current Week Commencing Timesheet. This will allow users to make updates to their Timesheet in CMap and also enable you to skip ahead on time for users who have been on long periods of leave.
