Beta Access Tool

The Beta Access Admin Tool allows you to control which users have access to CMap's Beta functionality ahead of its full release. This enables users to access Seasonal Release functionality at least two weeks before it is made live to everyone else. Any users that appear in the approved list will automatically access new functionality in Live when Beta access is open.

Add a User

1. From your Dashboard, head to the Admin area by clicking the  icon. Under the heading USERS & SECURITY, select Beta Access.

2. Click  and a pop-up box will appear. Select who you would like to grant access to CMap's Beta features from the drop-down menu.

  • An Individual User: Search for the User you'd like to add by typing their name in the text box, select the User, then click Add.
  • Everyone from an Office: Select the Office you'd like to add users from the drop-down list, then click Add.

All Users from the selected Office will be added.

  • Everyone from a Security Group: Select the Security Group you'd like to add Users from the drop-down list.

All users from the selected Security Group will be added.

Remove a User

Within the tool, you can also remove any users from the Beta Access list. To do this, head back into the Admin Tool and click the mceclip0.png icon. A pop-up box will appear asking you to confirm that you wish to remove the User's Beta access. Click Yes.

Hopefully you can now add Users so that they can access Beta's functionality ahead of Seasonal Release updates going live. This will allow them to test out the new functionality and give them time to prepare other CMap users for the upcoming changes.
