Campaign Tracking

The Marketing Campaign Tracking Add-On is a helpful tool to enable you to track the success of campaigns, report on the lead sources of your Projects, and monitor the Return on Investment (RoI) of marketing campaigns.

The tool enables you to easily track how many Leads each Campaign has generated, how many of those converted into Potential Projects, and which of those you eventually won as a result of each marketing campaign.

Creating a new Campaign

  1. From your Dashboard, go to the CRM tab. Click Marketing and then Campaign Tracking.
  2. Click on the  icon at the top of the page. You'll be taken to the New Campaign form, where you can fill in the following details:

    Any field marked with a green asterisk (*) is mandatory.

    You can edit these fields at any point by clicking on the  icon on the Campaign Details page.

  3. Click Save at the bottom of the page and you will be taken to the Campaign Details page.

Campaign Details

The Campaign Details page shows the following information:

Field

Description

External Cost 

This is set in the External Budget field when creating the campaign. 

Internal Cost 

The cost absorbed on the project selected in the Internal Project field.

Total Investment 

The Sum of External Cost + Internal Cost 

ROI 

Represented as a %, using the calculation of Revenue Generated/Total Investment.

If the revenue generated is less than the investment, the % will be displayed as a negative figure. If the revenue generated is greater than the investment, the % will be displayed as a positive figure. 

Leads Generated 

The Sum of any leads generated in CMap with the Lead Source field set to the Campaign name.

Potential Projects Generated 

The Sum of any Pipeline Projects generated in CMap with the Lead Source field set to the Campaign name.

Note: This only applies to CMap’s PSA edition.

Potential Projects Value 

The Sum of the value of any Pipeline Projects generated in CMap with the Lead Source field set to the Campaign name.

Note: This only applies to CMap’s PSA edition.

Projects Won 

The Sum of projects won in CMap with the Lead Source field set to the Campaign name.

Revenue Generated 

The Sum of the value of any Live Projects generated in CMap with the Lead Source field set to the Campaign name.

Deleting a Campaign

Should you wish to no longer proceed with a Campaign, head back into the Campaign Tracking Tab, find and click on the Campaign Name.

Next to the Campaign Name, click the  icon. A pop-up box will appear asking you to confirm that you wish to delete this campaign. Click Yes and it will be deleted.

Hopefully you can now set up a new Campaign and use CMap’s Tracking tool to understand your total investment. This will provide you with useful insights for future campaigns as you’ll be able to see how many leads it's generated, how many have been converted into pipeline and how much business you've won as a result.
