CMap HR includes the ability to store Documents at an organisation level (such as Policies and Procedures) as well as on individual user's People Profiles (such as Employee Contracts and training/ performance documentation).
In this article, we’ll look at:
- Company Documents
- People Documents
You can upload documents at the “Company” Level. These documents are not associated with a specific user and can be made available for all CMap users to view.
This feature requires users to have the HR Documents security permission enabled. Learn more about setting security permissions in CMap here.
This area can be used to store company documents such as:
- The Employee Handbook
- Policy Documents
- Return to Work form
To access these, from your Dashboard, head to the People tab. Click HR and then select Documents.
To learn more about how you can utilise the Documents module, read our article here.
The second area is for Documents for individual users. These documents can be uploaded directly into a specific user’s Profile and access to these can be restricted to adhere to Data Protection restrictions.
This feature requires users to have the People Documents security permission enabled. Learn more about setting security permissions in CMap here.
You could store documents such as:
- New starter form
- The user’s Contract of employment
- Identification Documents
To access these, from your Dashboard, head to the People tab. Click HR and then select People Profiles.
Now you can click into a User’s profile and then head to the Documents tab.
Now that you understand what Documents can be used for within the HR module, you are ready to utilising the functionality widely across CMap. Read our Documents article to learn more.
