Dashboards Overview

The CMap Dashboard is the home landing page for each CMap user when they log into CMap. Default Dashboards are available that provide an overview of the key information that you need to monitor, such as the Live Project Status Dashboard, your Activities, and items requiring action (e.g. Time Off Requests, Expenses, and Invoices awaiting Approval or Creation).

In this article, you’ll learn how to:

  • Manage Dashboard Boxes
  • Manage Dashboard Pages

Manage Dashboard Boxes

On your Dashboard, click Edit Dashboard and a blue box will appear at the top of the page to show that you are in Edit Mode. This is where you can add or edit Dashboard boxes.

Add new Dashboard boxes

Click Add and tick box list will appear with the available Dashboards. Any boxes that you tick on this menu will add additional Dashboard boxes to your Dashboard.

Move Dashboard boxes

Once you have added your Dashboard boxes, you can choose to move these boxes around your screen by clicking on the  icon in the top right-hand corner of the box. You can then drag the box to where you want it to be and drop it. It will store in its new location.

Re-size Dashboard boxes

If you want to re-size your Dashboard boxes so they sit together nicely, just hover your cursor over the bottom left-hand corner of the dashboard box. Your cursor will change to a double headed arrow which you can then click and drag up, down, left or right to re-size.

Remove Dashboard boxes

If you decide you no longer want a specific box of information on your Dashboard, you can delete it from your Dashboard by clicking the  button in the top right-hand corner of the box.

Once you are happy with the changes you have made, just click on Exit Edit Mode in the blue bar at the top of the page. This will save any changes you have made and return to the d=Dashboard.

Don’t forget that Dashboards can be amended at any time to ensure the data you are viewing is the most relevant to you.

Manage Dashboard Pages

Add a Dashboard page

1. To add a new Dashboard page, click the icon alongside the list of Dashboards.

2. A pop-up window will appear. Choose to add a new Standard Dashboard.

3. Give your new Dashboard a short, meaningful name and click Add Page and your page will be created. You can then add Dashboard boxes.

You can only change the name of the new Dashboards you have added. The Home Dashboard is fixed and the name cannot be changed nor can this be deleted.

Remove a Dashboard page

1. To remove a Dashboard page you have added, select the Dashboard and then click the Edit Dashboard

2. Click Delete Dashboard button and confirm within the pop-up confirmation window.

3. Click Exit Edit Mode to return to your Home Dashboard.

Did you know that you can create multiple Dashboards, which is useful if you have multiple roles. If you are a line manager as well as a project manager, you may want to create a separate dashboard specifically for your line manager related dashboards.
