Navigating CMap

CMap has been designed to make navigating user friendly so its quick-and-easy to find the information you need. The CMap Navigation Bar enables you to the area of CMap you need, regardless of your current location. This article will provide you with a quick Overview to help get you up-and-running in CMap.


When you log in, the default screen is your Dashboard. The Dashboard is comprised of Dashboard boxes, giving real-time information that is both relevant and personalised to each CMap user.



The CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Tab is the hub for your CRM activities linked to Contacts and Companies with CMap. It is a centralised database where information is stored on your Leads and Pipeline of potential projects.

Contacts & Companies

The Contacts and Companies pages in CMap provide a centralised database where you can store key and helps you to keep your data accurate and up-to-date.


The Leads page is where you capture early stage, unqualified opportunities. It’s a great way of capturing the very top of your sales funnel to make sure they’re not left unexplored.


Note: This is not available for the CMap Architects & Engineers Edition.

The Pipeline page is where you manage qualified opportunities. Pipeline has more features and functions than Leads, including tools like the Fee Estimator. This is also found within the Projects Tab.

The Marketing module enables you to run email campaigns to associates in your Contacts database straight from CMap and track their interest levels in your content. You can also measure the ROI of your marketing spend with our Campaign Tracking tool.


The Projects Tab is where the vast majority of the CMap functionality resides and gives you the tools you need to manage and track your projects.The Pipeline tab can also be found within the Projects area.

Live Projects

You can track your Live Projects, including resourcing your project, track Budget vs. Actuals and also schedule and generate Invoices.


Note: This is an additional add-on module.

The Portfolios tool is a simple way to report on a collection of projects based on a theme, for example, you may wish to group all projects for your largest client or all projects within one or more sectors.


The People Tab is the home of Resourcing in CMap, where you can optimally resource projects and generate a forward looking view of your staffing supply and demand. It is also a centralised database for HR.

The Resourcing module is where you’re able to centrally control resourcing, using tools like the Resource Schedule and Workload Schedule.


The HR tab is where you’re able to track important information for your users, store relevant documentation, etc.

Time + Expenses

The Time + Expenses Tab is where you can submit timesheets, time off and expenses, and have an overview of your allowances in one place. 

CMap Section




The Time tab is where users complete and submit their weekly timesheets and manage their time off requests.


The expenses tab is where users manage personal expense claims e.g., reclaiming mileage, accommodation, subsistence, etc. It’s also where approvers conduct their approvals.


The Finance Tab is where you control key system settings, such as Exchange Rates. It’s also where you centrally control things like rate cards. This is usually a heavily restricted area.


The Reports Tab is where you’re able to run Standard Reports (i.e. out-of-the-box reports) as well as build Custom Reports using the Report Builder tool (part of the CMap BI module).


The Admin area can be found by clicking on the cog icon on the right-hand side of your Dashboard tabs. This where you control key system settings, such as security permissions. This is usually a heavily restricted area.
