How to use Tags
The tags add additional search information when looking for Contacts and Companies.
You can add a service that the person or company provides as a Tag, for example: That they are a Print Supplier or IT supplier.
Your can also add any other Tags which you may find useful, like their position within a company Director or Manager.
This way, you could search under Tags for a Director or an IT Supplier to help you locate possible contacts to help you with your Project(s).
You can set different or the same tags for both Contacts and Companies.
To add a Tag into CMAP
Go into the Admin area on CMAP. Click on the Tagging link at the bottom of the Admin area.
Tags under the heading of System Tags will appear.
Here you can add additional Tags into CMAP, you can also choose which Tags are to be allocated to Companies and which Tags are to be allocated to Contacts by ticking the relevant boxes under the relevant columns.
Adding a Tag to a Contact or Company
Once the Tag has been added to CMAP, find the company or contact that you wish to add a Tag to. Click on the edit pencil and go to the Tags text box. Start typing the Tag that you wish to add into the text box, if the tag already exists, CMAP will guess the Tag that you wish to add and you can then click on it to add it.
The Tag will then be added.
NOTE: You can add a Tag when you add a new client or company into CMAP straight away.
Editing or Deleting a Tag to a Contact or Company
You can edit or delete any Tag in CMAP by going into the Admin area and clicking on the Tagging link. On the right hand side of the screen there is an edit pencil icon and a 'X' icon.
Click on the 'X' to delete the Tag that you wish to remove.
A box will appear with the question 'Are you sure you want to archive this tag?' click Yes and the Tag will be archived on CMAP.
Alternatively, you can remove a Tag from a Contact or Company by searching for them in CMAP via the Contacts tab. Click on the Company or Client name and click the edit pencil.
This will allow you to edit the Company or Contact that you have selected. Remove or edit the Tags associated with your chosen Company or Client and then click Save.
