The development team are locked down, coding away on new features, upgrades and bug fixes to bestow upon you. Here's a heads up on the key developments that will be going live w.c. 8th May.
The Contacts Grid is set to revolutionise the way you use and manage your contacts database. It will give you the ability to build search queries e.g. show me all contacts with the word "Director" in their Job Title and where "Joe Bloggs" is the Contact Owner. The ability to customise your views and see the detail that you need on the page e.g. the Groups contacts are members of in one central view. The ability to live-edit contact details right in the grid, just like you would in Excel. And a new tool to merge duplicate contact records.
Here's a link to the original PowerPoint Presentation, just in case you need a refresher.
Clearly this is quite a significant change, so I would recommend briefing users that have access to the Contacts area that it's set to be undoing a complete overhaul.
If your version of CMAP runs the Pipeline module, this is also set to undergo a user interface overhaul. The Pipeline Grid will give you the freedom to choose whatever columns you want in whatever order, rather than just in the current rigid, hard-coded structure. What's more, just like with the Contact Grid, you'll be able to live-edit key details e.g. the Sales Stage, Probability, etc. in the grid view—no more clicking in-and-out of projects every time you want to make a change!
The Projects tab is getting the grid treatment, too. We're going to keep the current tile view as an option, but give you the ability to flip to the grid view. The grid view will enable you to see projects in a list and, of course, you'll have the freedom to customise your columns, save your own views and live-edit key fields.
Some pretty significant updates! Exciting times. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to fire away.
