The development team are locked down, coding away on new features, upgrades and bug fixes to bestow upon you. Here's a heads up on the key developments that will be going live w.c. 5th June.
The Leads module is set to get a significant user interface overhaul. There's 2 key points (1) Leads will be treated in the same way as the Pipeline module (2) it will be getting the Grid treatment. Let me explain in more detail...
Leads is currently useful as a tracker to capture the very top of the sales funnel (all the early stage, unqualified opportunities). The key aim of the functionality—at present—is to make sure that (a) opportunities aren't forgotten about and (b) they have a sales follow-up action.
Whilst it handles the above pretty well, the new "Grid" interface has opened up some exciting enhancements to Leads. For starters, we're making all the Pipeline fields available, so you can now give your lead a Title, capture the Sector, any custom fields you've created, etc., etc. The only difference will be that the fields won't be mandatory until you convert it to Pipeline (. In addition to this, we're also adding a "Ballpark Fee" field so you can start to track values.
